Lung Cancer and It's symptoms

Lung cancer is caused by smoking often, but not always. As lung cancer stages advance the symptoms of lung cancer is coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath, and bloody mucus.

Lung cancer is major cause of mortality worldwide. As per the Data provided by National Cancer Institute 2,24,210 new cases of lung and bronchus cancer and 1,15,260 deaths are estimated in the US in 2014.
There are main three types of lung cancer. Knowing which type the victim has is important because it affects his/her treatment options.

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
This is the main and most common type of lung cancer. About 70-85% of lung cancers are non-small cell lung cancers. Adenocarcinoma, Squamous cell, carcinoma, and large cell carcinoma are all subtypes of non-small cell lung cancer. It can be describe in two types.non-small cell cancer( about 85 to 95% )and Small Lung cancer( About 5-15%).

Small Cell Lung Cancer
Small cell lung cancer is also called out cell cancer. About 10%-15% of lung cancers are small cell lung cancers. This type of lung cancer tends to spread quickly and median survival from diagnosis of only 1-3 months. .

Lung Carcinoid Tumor
Fewer than 5% of lung cancers will be lung carcinoid tumors. They are also called lung neuroendocrine tumors. Most of these tumors will grow slowly and rarely spread.


Signs and symptoms of Lung cancer:
One fourth of all people with lung cancers do not cause any symptoms until the cancer is diagnosed. Those are especially identified when they have spread and performed the chest x-ray for any reason. Some people with early lung cancer develop some symptoms.

Those symptoms comes due to the direct effects on the primary Tumor when it affects other parts of body. When you first notice symptoms, cancer might be diagnosed because it may be on the earlier stage and treatment will be more likely to be effective.
